did a guy just flirt with me while I was eating a seafood boil?!!

tldr: I wasn’t too sure if my waiter was flirting with me bc he called me beautiful while I was destroying a seafood boil! should I give guys my number if something happens like this again?

Im not to sure if the the waiter that called me beautiful while I was eating a seafood boil (crabs and shrimp) was flirting with me! I was literally wearing a crab bib and gloves when I asked for some. he later on came by while i was mid way cutting my crab and he squatted down to make eye contact! (bro was tall btw) and apologized if he miss gendered me he said he wasn’t sure if it was rude to ask for my pronouns! I nervously said its ok I go by she/her and the second I finished saying that! he had said by the way you’re so beautiful! I awkwardly said OH! thank you!! I wasn’t too sure if he was flirting with me? or just being nice? I should have give him my number because I was so stunned from the interaction I didn’t think of it!! if something like this happens again should I give out my number?
