I (28F) asked my male friend (32M) out. I had been trying to flirt with him for a while, and he was not getting it. After being increasingly obvious to the point where I fully said “hey I’m flirting with you” and he still didn’t take it as a sign. I just decided to say straight up “do you want to go on a date with me?” He said yes! He seems genuinely really interested. I normally lean anxious about how a guy feels about me and I’m not at all with him.
He did tell me he hasn’t dated before, which caught me off guard. He is really handsome, a nice height/body/build, he is sweet. He is very shy/quiet though.
I think I feel a little nervous learning he hasn’t dated in general. It’s just surprising to me and I don’t understand how. What are some things I should ask him or look out for (green/yellow/red flags)? How can I be supportive and make him more comfortable? What might be the reasons someone has never dated?
