I get a woman’s number after stepping off the plane.

On my way to a weekend vacation a chatty elderly lady and I were talking through the whole 2 hour flight. In the meantime the girl sitting in the front row on the other side trying to sleep overheard our entire conversation. I shared 2 drinks with the chatty lady as it was her birthday, but at high altitude that was enough to get me buzzed.

As we’re leaving the plane I head to the baggage claim where she sees me and she starts chatting me up. Now at this point I can recall her hair colour and height and know for a fact she looked cute, but I don’t have a clear picture in mind. Which is all really need for now!

She goes on to say how she overheard the conversation and thought how sweet and kind I was and really wanted to give me her number. I’m somewhat glad I was buzzed cause I played it off very calmly. But as the buzz faded I realized what a rare opportunity just landed in my hands, feels like I won the jackpot.

Next morning I texted her and we’ve been in slow contact with each other for 2 days now. But, while I’m going back to our city she’ll be gone for another 6 weeks and would love to meet up when she gets back.

For the next 6 weeks I’m planning to stay in touch through text but we’re still 2 strangers who haven’t even had a real conversation together. Should I contact her occasionally and if yes, what do we even talk about? I’d also rather meet in person than have the spark slowly die from boring messages. I’ve never found myself in this situation as I’m sure most guys havent, for those who did though did you have succes in how you proceeded?
