Met a cute girl at a wedding, what’s next?

I recently attended a wedding as the best man for my best friend and his now wife. It was a great time/social opportunity and I had the chance to meet some super awesome people there, including the maid of honor who just so happened to be single.

We had a few brief interactions, but aside from that, we were mostly busy throughout the day with various wedding activities. I managed to dance a bit with her and she seemed at least slightly interested, but I never got the chance to have a real conversation since the dancefloor was very loud and we were both getting pulled in different directions.

After the wedding, I told my friend that I think I missed an opportunity since he’s the one who told me she was single to begin with, but I had just played it off as a joke. Now I’m debating whether or not I made a huge mistake.

From the brief information I gathered, she seems to have her life together with her being in school, but she lives 4 hours away from my current location.

I wanted to get to know her better, so her friend told me to add her on facebook. I sent her a friend request and she accepted it within 30 seconds, but where do I go from here? She’s exactly my type and I would hate to miss an opportunity like this. I already sent her a message on facebook saying I’d like to get to know her a bit better, but it has been left on delivered since she doesn’t use facebook too often.
